Following the September 2020 launch of a new collection of work with Clarendon Fine Art in London it has been fantastic to see how interest in my work has soared. I'm grateful to Clarendon for their support and, especially to new clients and old who invest in me.
I just arrived in Portugal to set up my winter studio in the Algarve. I'm really excited to crack on and let the inspiration from the sun-drenched semi tropical part of the world spill out on to the canvas. We timed our arrival to get set up just before another national lockdown. Phew!!!
I've managed to work despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic - you can follow my journey on my Instagram page (michaelfrumsby_art) and much of the new work on this site.
Our next painting retreat (residential & non-residential) takes place from 3rd - 6th June 2021.
PAINTING RETREATS 2021
We are optimistic for 2021 and plan to open our doors again at The 1500 from 1st April. We have at least four painting retreats planned and right now we can confirm that our first retreat will take place from 3rd - 6th June 2021.
29 Aug - 3 Sept
It's now one whole year since I joined the amazing family of artists that make up Clarendon Fine Art.
On 6th September Clarendon launched my new collection of work from their Mayfair branch in London. The launch was accompanied by a live feed interview from our place in the South of France and a new catalogue. You can view the interview and see the catalogue at Clarendon's website or Instagram pages, as well as on You Tube.
Clarendon Fine Art is part of Demontfort Fine Art, the UK's leading international publisher and distributor of original paintings and collectable limited editions.
You can view my work at a number of Clarendon's galleries across the UK or by contacting the Mayfair Gallery at 46 Dover Street, London W1S 4FF.
In 2019 we started discussing the idea of working with Andrew Nicolls to display my work in Mexico.
Andrew's passion for art and the promotion of emerging artists whose work he admires led him to create Tulum Inside Out. The project and gallery space, have been built as a platform to showcase artists from around the world and to create bespoke art events in the flourishing coastal town of Tulum on Mexico's Eastern coast.
Covid 19 put a rather abrupt stop to the gallery itself being open for visitors over the past few months but you can see several of my pieces and some wonderful work by other established artists by contacting Andrew and the team.
